Well, normally I wouldn't watch such babe selling movies and I thought it was another DOA movie (which I slept through), but when I watched the trailer and got to know that the movie was created by the people behind '300' and 'Watchmen', I decided to go watch it!

Here's the synopsis of the movie:

Close your eyes. Open your minds. You will be unprepared.

"Sucker Punch" is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what's real and what is imaginary.

She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges 4 other young girls - The outpoken Rocket (Jena Malone), The street-smart Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), The fiercely loyal Amber (Jamie Chung) and the reluctant Sweet-Pea (Assie Cornish) - to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors, Blue (Oscar Issac), Madam Gorski (Carla Gugino) and the High Roller (Jon Hamm).

Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from Samurais to Serpents, with virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey - if they succeed - will set them free.

Background info of the people behind the movie:

Born from the creative vision of film maker Zack Snyder ("Watchmen", "300"), "Sucker Punch" features an ensemble of young stars, including Emily Browning ("The Uninvited"), Assie Cornish ("Bright Star"), Jena Malone ("Into the Wild"), Vanessa Hudgens (The "High School Musical" films) and Jamie Chung ("Sorority Row"). The film's main cast also includes Oscar Issac ("Robin Hood") and Carla Gugino ("Watchmen"), with Jon Hamm ("The Town", TV's "Mad Men") and Scott Glenn ("The Bourne Ultimatium").

Sucker Punch's Banner can be seen right at the first level.
Arriving at The Cathay (Level 5).
The movie poster and media board was displayed right at the escalator.
I got my tickets.
Some rules and regulations at a movie screening.
A very happy me after watching Sucker Punch.

So, after the movie I came to a conclusion:
  • Girls with Guns: Check
  • Girls with Katanas: Check
  • Dragons: Check
  • B-25 Mitchel: Check
  • Biplanes: Check
  • Samurai: Check
  • Giant Robots: Check
  • Gatling Guns: Check
  • Giant Robot Samurai with Gatling Guns: Check.
This is definitely one kick ass feel good movie which I find is more successful than 'Watchmen'. Although to some, they might find it a confusing movie, a movie with no story etc. To me, it's more about understanding that this movie is all about getting into the narrator's head, understanding what she is going through and how she gets through all obstacles.

And as like the other 2 movies mentioned, expect to have the drained colour effects and the super super perspective angle shots. There's not even a moment to take a breath while watching this movie, every frame has something happening, something to see, every detail is seen to. They also have and amazing soundtrack featuring the actress, Emily Browning and Iceland Queen, Bjork! I'm so gona get a copy for myself when released.

I'll give it a 4 stars out of 5 movie!

Well, I'll recommend you guys to head on down to the official website http://suckerpunchmovie.warnerbros.com to know more about the movie and below are some other links that you can check it out!
