The Heroine of My Life - Teaser to Disney • Pixar’s BRAVE

Hi Huneybees,

I am so excited for the upcoming movie by Disney • Pixar -  BRAVE! It's such a first in animation to talk about the Scottish and their traditions and cultures. The female lead character, Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), with her long curly orange hair, reminds a ton of the heroine in my life.

This was taken 2 years back. I hardly see her....
She's non-other than my elder sister! We had our differences, but we had tons of fun times too! My sister is my very own heroine and I look up to her. Since young, she's been independent and when she went overseas to further her studies, I totally admired her bravery. Without anyone, she spread her wings in Australia doing her Bachelor and Masters degrees. Over a span of 5 years, with my parents visiting her just twice, she passed with flying colours and I could never imagine myself overseas with no family!

Her curly hair is super similar to Merida and that's why she's always spotting short hair styles to tame to the curls. Everyone says we look alike but in character wise, she's much stronger than me. That's why everytime I had problems I always consult her and look to her for solutions. From the trouble I had from my job, even till my wedding day, she's been there helping me and making y life easy, so that I can be the "pampered princess" at home. Hehehee....

Now, she owns her own production company in Beijing, China, living there all alone and there again her bravery for being in a foreign country and making a living out there. She's very successful there and I'm really happy for her. Jia you Sis!

Let's watch the trailer to BRAVE and hang on for its launch on the 8th August 2012!

Sultry Swimwear Fashion Show by Aimer

Hi Huneybees,

Aimer has always been known to be a lingerie brand and the brand ambassador is non other than the ever young looking Gong Li.
Aimer was founded in Beijing, China, in 1993 by Mr. Zhang Rongming. As a professional and modernized enterprise, they focus their activities on women and men’s intimate apparel, including bras and panties, shape wear, thermal wear, pajamas, nightgowns, robes, swimwear and accessories.
Through its 15 years of operations, Aimer has established a complete design and marketing network. Aimer Group has the aim of sharing with women a fashion lingerie culture.
Since 2002, Aimer has held several brand-culture promotion activities like AIMER-DUNHUANG, Aimer Fashion Tour of China, and China Underwear Models Contest. It also holds the “International Underwear Trend Announcement” each year.

So what's so special about Aimer's current collection is the concept behind it. With the new range of swimwear, they hope that it can be seen more as  "gowns" that is something classy, elegant and unique which women could put on for any special occasions. It's no longer just a suit for yourself to laze by the poolside or have a dip in the pool, it's about looking and feeling great in that special "designer gown" for the beach.

The lacey, sheer-see-thru-skin effect is uber sexy and myterious. Not only does that accentuate the perfect body of the models, it also makes one unable to overlook them...

The colourful tropical inspired collection adds colour to the blue water when by the beach or in the pool. You will definitely be catching a ton of attention wearing them...

Flowers always brighten the day. I would say this is my favourite collection. Yellow says "HI!"

Well, if you are of the shy type, there's also these subtle ones that still screams sexy!

Aimer is located at Vivocity, Marina Bay Sands, Takashimaya, Jurong West Central 2 and TANGS @ Orchard. More details can be found at their website.

Psst, more photos can be seen here.

Chen Man 陳曼 empowers sexiness in her photoshoots

*Note: This post contains nudity*

Hi Huneybees,

I just did a blog post on M.A.C.'s recent collection - ChenMan Love & Water and seriously, I never got to know who Chen Man is until this collection. *Sorry Chen Man* A little Google search on Chen Man and tons of posts and definitely beautiful images filled my computer screen. Below is an interview with her during the shoot for M.A.C's collection.

There's a little sense of pride in me that an Asian is picked as inspiration for a M.A.C. collection!

So who's Chen Man?

Well, she's Beijing's leading photographer and over the years, she has contributed to some of the world's best-known lifestyle magazines and campaigned for international brands such as Motorola and Adidas.

She gained prominence in 2003 when she completed a series of ground-breaking covers for the China-based design and arts magazine Vision. Although then still a student at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, the images she produced crashed the conservatism of China’s media industry at the time and captured the spirit of creative possibility that was driving a new generation of artists and designers. She then made eight covers for Vision and each image is based on an original studio shot that is digitally enhanced in post production.

However, it is the eclectic range of motifs and influences in her work, from Mickey Mouse and Manga to the Three Gorges Dam and the Great Wall, that best characterize her aesthetic. Her success far exceeds what many photographers can achieve in that same period of time.

So, I said I Googled her right? Check out the stars she have worked with already!

Fan Bing Bing. She's like her muse! When you Google Chen Man, tons of Fan Bing Bing's photos taken by her will pop up.

Gong Li on Great Wall of China.

Maggie Cheung
Wilber Pan, Jay Chou, Angela Chen.

Dee Hsu (Xiao S) and her co-host Kevin Tsai
EVEN BECKHAM!!!!
But the thing I love about is her style, portraying female sexiness and how she mix post production works into her photographs. So bold, so edgy, so ahead of time!

Bling Bling!

Isn't Chen Man amazing?! She really inspires me and she is now in my list of favourite photographers. Ranked top!
