Hi Huneybees,
I was recently brought to The Edge of Excitement by Lady Gaga! She was brought in by Singtel for the second time since 2009.
From
Singtel's website:
Mr Edward Ying, SingTel’s Chief of Multimedia, said: “We brought Lady Gaga to Singapore when we launched SingTel’s award-winning AMPed music service in 2009. Just as Lady Gaga has risen to the top of the music world over the last two years, AMPed has also grown to be the number one music service in Singapore, with more than 300,000 customers. We’ve decided to bring her back because her compelling and contemporary music style resonates very well with Singaporeans. More importantly, she will add panache to the launch of a whole new set of awesome features that will ensure AMPed redefines the digital music industry in the years ahead.”
Lady Gaga has been AMPed’s most downloaded artiste since launch. AMPed offers unlimited free downloads of more than 2 million tracks and is available to SingTel 3G Flexi and iFlexi plan subscribers. Customers can browse and download songs to their hearts’ content, on their mobile devices and PCs, without incurring data charges.
Lady Gaga’s contributions to the music industry have garnered her numerous achievements including five Grammy Awards amongst twelve nominations, two Guinness World Records and the estimated sale of 15 million albums and 51 million singles worldwide. She has been included in Time's annual ‘The 2010 Time 100’ list of the most influential people in the world as well as Forbes' list of the ‘The World's Most Powerful Celebrities’ in the world. Forbes also placed her at number seven on their annual list of the world's ‘100 Most Powerful Women.’
Her recent release of the highly anticipated follow-up album, Born This Way, has sold over the 1.11 million mark during its first week of sales and has been number one on local CD retail stores and digital music album charts since its release. The album has also achieved sales exceeding platinum status.
I must say a special thanks to Nuffnang for the tickets and also to Hong Peng for helping me with the photo taking. The photos that I'm going to share are jointly taken by him and me. Why 2 photographers? Well, coz there were people in front of us using the iPad to take photos and literally blocked our view. So we had to keep switching sides just to catch glimpses of Lady Gaga herself.

Check out the crowd! But this was not all. Everyone started queuing from B3 to Level 1! |
The event was held at Marina Bay Sands, MBS and lots of local celebrities were spotted even before the Mother Monster arrived.
987fm DJs, The Muttons. |
Kui Jien and his wife, Sarah Tan. |
Celebrity blogger, Xiaxue. |
Zhou Chong Qing, Shan Wee and Nat Ho. |
They are not celebrities, but Gaga Fans! They are just a representative of the many fans who dressed up for the event! |
With Hong Peng, my co-photographer. |
William Tan, fellow blogger. |
We queued, we waited, we searched frantically for the best spot for photographs and finally at 8.30pm, Lady Gaga was ready for her performance and fans screamed their heads off for her.
Check out the crowd. |
The smoke machine was on, curtains drawn and dancers were on the platform. |
Guess who's in the lantern? |
Out she comes! |
SCREAM!!!! |
Lady Gaga kick-started the event with her fastest selling single "Born This Way". Nope there was no eggs this time round, just a red lantern. She had 4 outfit changes and performed 7 songs in total. "Born This Way", "Pokerface", "Alejandro", "Hair", "Edge of Glory", " Bad Romance" and "Judas" was her encore song.
She had tight fitting latex clothes on with lots of stockings and another minute, she could be bearing it all with just the important parts covered. One main thing I noticed was that she was jumping and dancing in Louboutins! Can you imagine doing all those in these skyscrapers?! I would twist my leg even just walking in them man!
I know this is a badly taken photo but see how high she jumped with Louboutins on?! |
Lady Gaga pointed at us!!! |
Her guitarist. |
Then, Lady Gaga performed "Hair". |
I recorded a video of Lady Gaga performing 'Hair". Sorry for the laggy video, but you can hear her performing live loud and clear! I love Lady Gaga! Listening her live is like listening it straight from the radio. I don't even hear her panting. Woots!!
This would be her signature stance for this album. To perform on the piano and raise her leg while doing so. I remember seeing this first time when she performed on "Good Morning, America". |
Check out her thigh tattoo. |
This is a weird one. It looked like she farted and well, the guitarist's hair was the reaction to the wind. |
Even though, Lady Gaga was not facing us when she performed, but I must say the guitarist and her bums made up for it! |
She stood on the piano! |
There was a little break in between for Gaga to change and she had 3 guitarists playing their solos on stage to keep us entertained. |
Lady Gaga came out with a police hat, Gold studded jacket and bra, and a military pair of tights. |
Sexy eh? |
Her very own dancers. |
He's so sexy and he got to hug her for The Edge of Glory. |
Signature Monster hands. |
Check out the ass! |
Thanking the audience/fans. So sad it was over so fast! |
Took a picture with fellow blogger, Angie Chew. |

Angie, Hong Peng, Me and Joey. |
A picture with the hardcore fans. |
Nuffnang bloggers group shot! |
We caught Pat Mok and Belinda before we left. |
Jade Seah!! |
The showcase was a little appetizer for which I hear of a concert next year? Please Lady Gaga, please come back again for a full fledged concert for your little Singapore Monsters!
