Wana know why McDonald's Ads always look so good?

McDonald's and their burgers have revolutionized the fast food culture and I must say it's been a big part of our lives. It's a worldwide brand and their advertisements always makes us drool.

Recently, McDonald’s took social media and the Web to great heights by creating a campaign and micro-site “Our Food. Your Questions.” that might be seen as brilliant by even the most skeptical. The answers are honest and straightforward.

This campaign is supported by dynamic video content in which people on the street are allowed to ask McDonald’s any question they want. You’d think this would be dangerous given the subject matter, but McDonald’s doesn’t shy away from the tough questions.

It incorporates social media to even greater extents by letting people follow users whose questions are in the queue. This way, you read the answer once it is delivered.

Some of the questions are serious health issues, others about their business ethics, and some are just plain fun. I guess all brands should wake up and see how the top dog does it the right way. Honesty, transparency and simplicity make this a social media excursion that leaves billions of people happily served. Another clever media stunt and "I'm Lovin' It".

MacDonald's Deals

Did you guys know that whenever you spend $4 at McCafe, you can get a stamp on their McCafe Devotee Card and if you have accumulated 3 stamps, one is entitled to a free drink? Any size, any drink, ON them!

So, being the avid McCafe coffee drinker, of course I filled up the card in no time.

This is their latest promo and I got the Mocha Chips Frappe.

This promotion ends on 7th July 2011 and I have no idea what's up their sleeves next. So I guess it's a "Chop Chop" deal!

There's also another new drink that MacDonald's have come up with. Remember the Root Beer Float from the other fast food restaurent? Now they have the McFloat, which is ice cream on coke. Super refreshing for the warm, warm weather here in Singapore. And what's best is they have a 1-for-1 deal till 19th June for you to share with your love ones.

My 7th April

Hi Huneybees,

I'm blogging from Starbucks at Capital Building. This is the first time I'm actually blogging outside the comfort of my home! Well, guess lots of you know, I've been having horrible backaches, almost un-walkable and bedridden for 4 days already and today I finally got the chance to come out and walk around; chilling out while waiting for my hubby to end work.

First, I went to North Point for lunch, decided to have it at Pasta Mania and boy was I glad when I hit the store. There was a "Gnomeo & Juliet" movie promo and I ordered the Juliet set, which was only $12.90 for a 10" cheesy pizza and a drink. I even received a scratch card which gave me 10% discount on my next meal there.... Who can resist such a 'cute' deal right? I even got myself a share of Calamari for sides...

After which, I received an SMS from MacDonald's and guess what? Instead of paying $4.95 for their new Oreo Cookie Frappé, I got it for just $3! 

It's actually ice blended milk with Oreo Cookie chunks and topped with chocolate syrup. I had mine without whip cream and used low fat milk, but it's still very sweet and I drank till the very last drop in the cup!
