Team Singapore for London 2012 Olympic Games

Hi Huneybees,

London 2012 Olympic Games Official Opening Ceremony is just SIX days away and I am very excited and hence decided to write about Singapore's very own team for this summer game - Team Singapore!

Team Singapore is sending 23 Olympians and 8 Paralympians to complete in the world’s foremost sports competition where more than 200 nations participate. Singapore realistic medal hope rests mainly on the Table Tennis woman players Feng Tianwei, Wang Yuegu and Li Jiawei. The Table Tennis man players of  Gao Ning, Yang Zi, Zhan Jian are considered as dark horses although I am hoping for surprises from them!

The rest of Team Singapore are there to complete as part of the necessary investment for their respective sports toward gold medal breakthrough in the regional sport competitions, such as the South East Asia Games and Asian Games.

Do you know that this 2012 London Olympics is special for two special reasons? One of which has an association with Singapore...

Firstly, London was selected as the host city, against cities like Paris, Moscow, Madrid and New York City, during the 117th IOC Session in Singapore on 6th July 2005.

Secondly, London is the first city to officially host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and in 1948.

The London 2012 Olympic Games starts on 27 July with the opening ceremony and ends on 12 August 2012, although the first event begins on 25 July.

Do join me to support Team Singapore - Go Team Singapore!

Sexy Pole Dancers at 987FM RSVP Party (To Madonna in London)

Hi Huneybees,

I was at the monthly 987FM's RSVP Party where the radio station collaborated with Levi's to give away a pair of tickets to a lucky winner to fly to London to catch Madonna in concert! It was held at the newly renovated Velvet Underground, free booze, party with the DJs as well as games to play to win other goodies!

The stage is set.
And The Muttons asked the contestants to drop their details into 1 of the 4 boxes - M, D,N and A.
Single file please?
After that, the sexy pole dancers were up for a performance. I've not seen a double act before!

As well as eye candy treat of pole dancing! This is really a great piece of art and technique!

Divian and Jacqui came on stage with Georgina Chang to give out some prizes as well as get 3 contestants to do a pole dance act too. Who do you think won?

Georgina then drew from the boxes again for the 3rd and 2nd prize winners.
Levi's models and representative is up on stage to draw for the lucky winner.
Congratulations babe! You are flying to London!
Thank you 987FM for another joyful night with the DJs!
Hehehe. A shot with Bobby Tonelli before leaving...
If you wana join the DJs for a fun filled evening, tune in to 987FM for instructions on how to win the passes!

Paul Smith The Multi-Stripe MINI Exhibition

Hi Huneybees,

It's 2am and I was in town with the girls, Peiyun & Valentine watching Mirror, Mirror. I didn't want to go home and since I've been dying to catch a glimpse of the Paul Smith Mini Cooper S, Valentine and me walked over to Hilton Hotel to check it out.

The car was originally designed as part of the Great Brits minis. The 86 striped, 24 colour car appeared at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show, and inspired a run of limited edition minis. The Mini Cooper S was made famous by the movie "The Italian Job", where the actors drove the car to hide stealthily in alleys and escape chasers.

This is the Mini Cooper that's inspired and printed on many Paul Smith bags and wallets like the ones below...

The exterior of the car is painted with the signature Paul Smith Multi-Stripe. The attention to detail continues on the inside with a lime green lined boot and glove compartment and instrument gauges made by a company called Smith, changed the engraving to read ‘Paul Smith’.

The headights are aready extinct! I'm looking at a piece of history!

The mini has been on many adventures including a tour of the US traveling to San Francisco, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon and finally ending up in Los Angeles. The car also attended the 10th Anniversary for the opening of the Dubai store in the Middle East in 2011. And in 2012, the Paul Smith Limited Edition MINI embarks on its first tour of Asia.

All Paul Smith and Mini Cooper fanatics, come on down to Hilton Hotel to catch a glimpse of  the Paul Smith Mini Cooper!
