Could you escape from the Werewolf Village?

Hi Huneybees,

Remember my Giveaway and Blog Post on the Real Life Escape Game? Well, today I played it first thing this morning and experienced it first hand before it is open to the public.
Nope, this is definitely not a spoiler or a walkthrough. This game must be experienced and played when you are there. It's not fun at all if you already know the answers right? Where's the challenge?!

Host getting us ready for the game and explaining the rules and regulations to us.

I've always been a lover of Escape games and played tons of flash games on escaping the rooms. And this time round, it is an escape from the whole village! (That's a challenge I'm totally in love with!)  The whole experience was very fun, you have to be alert, sharp and focus as the clue might just be right under you nose!

Would you be able to solve the puzzles and unlock the ultimate secret?!
Another thing is definitely team effort! Not only is this a game, this is also a great time to make new friends, as well as the bond friendships and relationships tighter. I made friends with my team today and everyone was so spontaneous and offered to help solve the puzzles. My team was very close to solving the puzzles, and tell you the truth, I was kinda disappointed when I knew we were actually super close to escaping the village. So I must say, TIME is very important. Make sure you work fast too!

With my team mates. Great fun today guys!
Well, here are some rules and regulations to get you started for the game over this weekend. May the Odds be Ever in Your Favour.
  1. This is a game where you will be locked in a room, and you will have to use your detective's mind and powers of deduction to make your escape.
  2. Gather items, find codes and solve puzzles to escape the room (village).
  3. You will be teamed up with other players. Strategize and cooperate - more heads are definitely better than one.
  4. You might find tourself running out of time to escape. However, failure to escape is nothing to be embarrassed about. The riddles are really quite tough.
  5. Do not worry if you unable to escape within the time limit. We will still allow you to leave. (Keeping you in the room against your will is against the law).
  6. Detective styled clothes might help to sharpen your mind. Wear comfortable clothes but refrain from wearing heels.
  7. If you want some training before the actual game. Google for "Escape Game". There are many online Escape Games you can try and practice on.
  8. Please do not spoil the fun for other participants by telling them the puzzles or solutions. That kills the fun.
  9. The prize you will receive is that priceless moment when you and your team finally find the solution to escape and everything falls into place.

[Giveaway Closed] Trying Escaping from the Werewolf Village!

Hi Huneybees,

The Real Escape Game (played by young working adults from all walks of life in Japan, China, Taiwan and San Francisco) is an interactive live game event that requires players to cooperate with team mates and use their combined detective skills to solve multiple mysteries in order to escape from a locked room within a limited time. And this time they are back with the second edition with a new theme: Escape from the Werewolf Village!

The venue will be reimagined as a mysterious village where werewolves have been known to attack people by night. As villagers disappear one by one, players must work together, use their deductive skills and gather clues to escape before the werewolves strike again!

History of the Real Escape Game

The Real Escape Game was first played in Tokyo in 2007, and since then, more than 100,000 participants have played in multiple cities across Japan, China, Taiwan, United States and Singapore. Over 2,300 sessions have been staged to-date with as many as 1,000 participants taking part simultaneously. The Game was recently played by several hundred participants at massive arena venues including the Tokyo Dome and the city's Jingu Baseball Stadium. This upcoming Singapore session at *SCAPE Warehouse will be the second time “The Real Escape Game,” has been played in Singapore.

The first Real Escape Game in Singapore was held earlier this year from 27-29th January, at Chijmes Hall, titled “Escape from the Mysterious Cathedral”. Around 800 players, mainly young working adults, from all walks of life came to experience the thrill of solving the puzzles in teams and breaking free. A total of 30 teams managed to escape, with the fastest team breaking out in around 40 minutes. The game has drawn enthusiastic response from various players.

The Real Escape Game is the brainchild of Mr. Takao Kato, founder of the Kyoto-based publishing company, SCRAP. The concept was born out of a conversation with a girl who was hooked on online “Escape the Room” games. Kato added on a strong narrative element to the challenges, explaining that “as a kid, I always wanted to ‘live in the story’, survive the adventure, solve the mystery, and be a hero like the characters in books I loved as a child. The Real Escape Game is an opportunity to make these dreams come true”.

The Real Escape Game is often staged in eclectic settings ranging from small theatres to large sporting arenas to cathedrals. Come meet new friends and try out the latest live game phenomenon from Japan with this fun event happening at the *SCAPE Warehouse this May!
